UrbanGlass, in partnership with the Brooklyn VA Medical Center of the VA New York Harbor Healthcare System, will present Glass for Good. The program will engage veterans across New York City in a series of programs that center discovery, self-expression, community building, and creative development through the exploration of glass art forms such as kilnforming, glassblowing, and beadmaking. Glass for Good will introduce the history and contemporary context of glass as a creative medium through artist talks and lectures. The program will also provide hands-on instruction in design and methods in multi-week courses that culminate in public exhibitions of veterans’ artwork.
