Vets in the Arts, in partnership with the Marion Cultural and Civic Center, will present the Original Musical Production of "Standard Issue: One Each." The production will feature veterans as writers, actors, singers, and backstage crew. Activities during the grant period will include six months of musical theater education, physical and performance training, and set/costume design instruction with professional theater mentors leading the cast and crew. The musical production process will encourage veterans to participate in the robust arts community as well and entice veterans to be a part of the audience. The musical will culminate with three on-stage performances before starting the process of licensing it to other communities to support veterans in the arts.
