Mount Sequoyah Center in partnership with Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks will present a program that hosts a group of veterans for a culinary arts and writing residency at Mount Sequoyah. The group will learn from a chef and then be guided toward finding their culinary style. They will learn about food writing from a professional writer. Then, based on their own unique interests, some participants will workshop their own creative new recipes, while others will write about the experience of the food the group creates and their larger experience creating together. Their residency will end with a banquet dinner with an audience of veterans and community members. Participants will take the creative writing and recipes they created home following the program.
