Morean Arts Center's Operation: Art of Valor glassblowing program provides weekly sessions of arts instruction for veterans and their families. With a six-part curriculum, beginning and advanced cohorts allow participants to become familiar with glassblowing techniques and create unique glass pieces. The program is open to active-duty service members, National Guard or reserve members, veterans, families, and caregivers. The Morean Arts Center Hot Shop is the venue for this program, which has been running since 2018. The program's primary partner, James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital, connects interested veterans transitioning from clinical care into the community. This program offers a creative outlet for veterans and aims to contribute to their overall well-being.
