In partnership with Renton Veterans Center, Seattle Rep’s Public Works program provides year-round free theater classes, workshops, and events to local veterans, families, and partners. The program aims to empower participants by building confidence and resilience while celebrating their creativity. For veterans with PTSD and other mental health conditions, Public Works is a valuable way to increase confidence, build empathy, and foster personal agency. By participating in artmaking activities in a community setting, veterans can develop a sense of resilience, making it easier to reintegrate into civilian life.
