So Say We All’s Veteran Writers Division, in partnership with Mockingbird Improv Theater, will offer free creative writing workshops to active-duty service members, veterans, military-connected family members, and foreign-national interpreters in San Diego and Los Angeles. By helping military-connected communities craft their true stories and share them with the public through staged performances, So Say We All believes the perceived civilian/military divide can be bridged, and participants can discover new value in their lived experience. During the program, participants will share their personal histories, build skills in creative writing and story development, and workshop their pieces together as a team before taking the stage together in a public storytelling showcase.
