Kim Walter serves as the Clinical Program Evaluator for Creative Forces. Dr. Walter holds a Ph.D. in Biobehavioral Health from The Pennsylvania State University, a BS in Nursing from the University of Virginia, and a BA in Psychology from Connecticut College.  She completed a National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. During her Postdoctoral Fellowship, Dr. Walter was involved in research and evaluation projects examining behavioral economic interventions for chronic diseases, including substance use disorders and diabetes. Immediately prior to joining HJF, Dr. Walter served as a Senior Research Analyst at Public Consulting Group, where she managed public health and social service program evaluations for government and non-profit agencies covering topics such as substance use prevention and treatment; child welfare; trauma-informed care; and refugee resettlement. Before joining PCG, Dr. Walter was a Researcher in the Computational Health Behavior and Decision Science Research Group at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, where she worked with a multidisciplinary team of researchers to investigate the use of technology to promote sustained health behavior change.
