Danielle J. Braxton is an art therapist in the Creative Forces Network at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune’s Intrepid Spirit Center. Danielle is a board-certified and registered art therapist, who is also licensed in New Jersey. She received her BA in Art with a certification in Art Therapy from Caldwell University and her MA in Clinical Art Therapy from Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus. Danielle began providing art therapy to military service members diagnosed with combat-related post-traumatic stress in May of 2012 at William Beaumont Army Medical Center and Ft. Bliss in El Paso, Texas. In 2017, she relocated to Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune in North Carolina and soon after joined Creative Forces.

Danielle is currently located at the Intrepid Spirit Center at Camp Lejeune where she continues to work with active-duty service members diagnosed with traumatic brain injury and psychological health conditions. She also assists service members who are transitioning from military service to civilian life by connecting them with local community arts engagement programs. Danielle has always been passionate about art and throughout her career has focused on artmaking and creative process engagement to help patients improve their emotional well-being, quality of life and recovery from psychological health conditions.
