Rylee S. Carfer is a music therapist in the Creative Forces Network at the Fort Cavazos Intrepid Spirit TBI Clinic in Killeen, Texas. She is a nationally registered and board-certified music therapist who received her BA in music therapy from the University of Georgia in 2022. Rylee completed a music therapy internship that specialized in forensic psychiatric treatment and has since worked in mental health, music teaching, and music therapy. During her studies, she focused her research on music therapy with psychological disorders and the treatment of trauma. She has worked with children with disabilities and adult populations in mental health to address their needs and promote wellness through music therapy. In 2023, she joined the Intrepid Spirit Center on Army Base Fort Cavazos team and is currently offering music therapy to service members experiencing symptoms related to traumatic brain injury and post-traumatic stress disorder.
